MINATO / LABIC
Selected for Minato City Acceleration Program "LABIC"
As a company selected for Minato City's startup support program, we help companies improve operations and adopt AI.
See the announcementMISSION
Use AI and automation to return the time stolen by back-office work to Japanese companies' core business.
VISION
A society where SMEs reclaim people's time and focus on improvement, sales, and R&D.
VALUES
Field-first, people's time above all, partnership beyond expectations.
ORIGIN OF NAME
Why we are called "Leach"
The first question Norio Nagai, Chairman of Nabel (a long-established bellows manufacturer), asked us was: "What meaning did you put into LEACH?" Three meanings are layered into the name.

1. Quietly permeating
The English verb "leach" means to permeate or seep gradually. We want to build products that quietly blend into daily work — invisible like air, yet essential the moment they're gone.
2. The founder's signature (otitis media with effusion)
CEO Tominaga has lived with chronic otitis media with effusion since childhood — fluid that literally leaches from the ear. That, too, is part of who I am. I left that signature in the company's name.
3. Reaching the customer
Written in Japanese katakana, "Leach" sounds identical to "Reach." We want to Reach our customers' hands. We embraced the very Japanese trait of not distinguishing L from R.
Products that quietly permeate daily life, each with its own character, delivered into our customers' hands — that is Leach.

CEO MESSAGE
Message from the CEO

AI will completely change how work is done. I'm convinced of it.
Survived on 4 hours of sleep in grad school, won 3 academic awards. Spent 9 years at Toshiba's research lab, working with Google and McKinsey on the front lines of data business. Now I code 17 hours a day and my eyes twitch constantly. Through it all, one thing has always been clear: even as technology races ahead, the daily work in companies hasn't changed.
After leaving Toshiba, I visited dozens of companies. People using rulers on monitors to match documents. Copy-pasting by hand, over and over. Upstairs, big talks about AI and DX. Downstairs, people exhausted. AI can change this. I was instantly convinced.
"We want AI but don't know where to start." If that sounds like you, please reach out. We'll look at your work together and split what AI can handle from what people should still check.
CEO, Leach Inc.

EPISODES — A Man Who Gave His Life to Code
Memorable companies get referred. Here are a few of the crazier episodes.
Elementary / Junior High School
Played Pokémon Red, Green & Blue and thought: "I want to make games like this." Started programming. In junior high, built a password-protected BBS for his classmates. It took off immediately — but he forgot file locking, and all the data was wiped.
Graduate School (NAIST)
Survived on 4 hours of sleep, fully immersed in research. Won triple awards: DICOMO Best Presentation (1st out of 293), Outstanding Paper, and DPSWS Outstanding Poster.
Toshiba R&D Era
Broke a plate while washing dishes, slicing his middle finger halfway through. The tendon barely held — he can still code today. Rode the BTC wave and by his second year out of college, had already eaten everything he wanted and traveled everywhere he wanted.
Akatsuki Era (Internship)
Kept coding after work, sleeping on the floor. A tumor (blood clot) formed on his back and had to be surgically removed at a Red Cross hospital.
COVID-19 Golden Week (May 2021)
A dream he'd chased since his Toshiba days: cycling the length of Japan. The stars never aligned — extended leave, same-day hotel availability, and decent weather never came together at once. Then COVID hit, hotels emptied out, and he thought: "Now or never." He cycled approximately 1,350 km from Yokohama to Kumamoto over 11 days (9 riding days + 2 rain rest days) on an e-bike.
After Founding (Now)
Codes 17 hours a day. His eyes twitch constantly. But his hands never stop.
